Privacy policy

Who we are

Tiny Utility Lab is a brand site at https://tinyutilitylab.com. We publish small browser tools. The contact address for privacy questions is tinyutilitylab@proton.me. This policy describes the brand site only. It does not describe another company, employer, or personal website.

The short version

Tool forms — including the rent receipt, purchase order, and credit memo — run in your browser. We do not create accounts. We do not store landlord names, tenant names, buyer or vendor details, addresses, payment amounts, line items, signatures, or notes on a Tiny Utility Lab server. If you close the tab, that draft is gone unless you downloaded a PDF or your browser kept a local copy.

What we collect

  • Tool form data. Not sent to us. PDF files are built on your device.
  • Theme preference. If you pick light or dark, the choice is saved in localStorage on your device so the next visit can match. We never receive that value.
  • Hosting and security logs. Like most sites, the host (Vercel) may record standard request data such as IP address, user agent, referrer, and timestamps to operate the site and stop abuse. Those logs are not used to build a profile of your rent receipts, purchase orders, or credit memos.
  • Email you send us. If you write tinyutilitylab@proton.me, we keep what you send so we can reply.

Cookies and local storage

Tiny Utility Lab itself uses local storage for the optional theme choice. We do not set a first-party analytics cookie today. If we later add a measurement tool, we will name it here before it runs.

Advertising

The tools are free and may be ad-supported. We may show Google AdSense or a similar third-party ad network. Those vendors use cookies and similar technologies to serve and measure ads, and they may collect device identifiers, IP address, and browsing data according to their own policies. Google explains this in its advertising and privacy documentation, including Ads Settings and the About Ads / NAI opt-out pages.

This site does not embed a placeholder publisher ID. An AdSense snippet will appear only after we have a real publisher account. If ads are live, you can use Google Ads Settings to limit personalized ads, and you can use your browser controls to block or delete cookies. Blocking ads or cookies may affect how pages look; the document tools will still run locally.

How we use information

We use hosting logs to keep the site up, debug errors, and reduce abuse. We use email you send to answer you. We do not sell form contents — we do not have them. We do not use rent receipt, purchase order, or credit memo fields for advertising because those fields never reach our servers.

Sharing

We share information only with processors that run the site (such as the hosting provider), with ad partners if ads are enabled, or when the law requires it. We do not rent or sell mailing lists. There is no paid “pro” tier that would move your receipts into a cloud account.

Retention

Browser form data lasts as long as your tab and device keep it. Hosting logs follow the host’s retention window. Email we receive is kept as long as needed to handle the request, then deleted or archived in ordinary inbox practice.

Children

The site is meant for adults who need ordinary document tools, such as landlords and tenants. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child sent us personal information by email, write tinyutilitylab@proton.me and we will delete it.

Your choices

You can use the tools without an account. You can download or print a PDF and keep it yourself. You can clear site data in your browser to remove the theme setting. You can email us to ask what we hold from correspondence. For ad cookies, use the vendor’s opt-out tools and your browser settings.

Changes

If this policy changes in a material way — for example if we add analytics or turn on ads — we will update the date at the top of this page. Keep using the site after a change means you accept the updated policy for later visits.
